Guided Implant Surgery
Implant placement decided on a 3D scan beforehand and carried out through a surgical guide made for your mouth.
The same implant procedure, planned digitally first. A guide is made from your 3D scan that fits over your teeth and directs the position, angle, and depth.
We take a 3D scan, plan the implant on screen against your actual bone, nerves, and sinus, then have a guide printed. The surgery follows the plan rather than establishing it.
The hard decisions get made on a screen with time to think, instead of in your mouth under a clock. That usually means a smaller opening, less bleeding, and a faster recovery.

Common questions about guided implant surgery.
Most implant patients, and especially anyone with limited bone, an implant close to a nerve or sinus, or several implants being placed in one visit.
Shorter and calmer than freehand placement. The guide sits over your teeth, and much of what would otherwise be judgment during surgery is already settled.
The scan and planning happen at a prior visit. Placement itself is often under an hour, and sometimes noticeably quicker than the unguided equivalent.
There is a lab and planning cost built into this, which is part of why guided placement is priced above freehand. Ask Anna for the difference in writing.
Usually less swelling and soreness than open placement, because less gum needs lifting. Still expect a few tender days and soft food.
